Primary Research

For our primary research we made a questionnaire for our target audience to fill out. We got 39 responses which means the data we got back was very reliable because the more people we asked the more opinions we got.

Introduction

We got asked to come up with an idea for a new TV sow, w had to collect research to see what our target audience thought of it.

Our TV show will be called ‘Celebrity Crush’. It is a game / dating show.

20 girls get chose to be on the show; a secret celebrity is chosen based on who the women would describe as ‘dream man’. The women will compete in 5 different tasks, after each task the number of women will decrease (20 – 15 – 10 – 5 – 2 – 1).

Task 1 - Lip Sync

The women have to lip sync to the man’s favourite song then he chooses 5 that won’t be going through to the other rounds.

Task 2 - Dance off

In this task the women will compete in a dance off using a dance mat.

Task 3

This third task will depend on which celebrity is chosen that week, for example if the man was a football player they would compete doing something to do with football. The task could be to try a score a goal from a distance.

Task 4 - Being silly

For this task the women have to be as silly as they can to make the man laugh, the 2 women he finds the funniest will go through to the final round.

Task 5 - Question

Finally, this task will consist of the man asking each of the two women a question, the he will decide who he will be taking out on a date.

When the man has got the women down to 1 woman they will then go out on a date (doing activities in the day; then to Nandos at the night), where they go in the day will depend on who the celebrity is at the time.

This show is for ages 16- 35 and will be aired for one hour on ITV2 on Friday nights, at 7 o'clock. The series will continue for 6 weeks. Russell Howard or another comedian will present the show.

Secondary Research

Secondary Research
For our secondary research we conducted our own research to find out things like; 

what shows are already being aired that are similar to our show idea, what shows are on at a similar time slots as our show, what shows are already being showed on the channel we had planned to air our shows and also, the ratings of the shows on that channel.
